Instagram Marketing Techniques from the Experts - Part 2

June 10, 2018

If you have read part 1 of our Instagram marketing tips, then welcome to part 2! We’ve put together another list of marketing tips that will help maximise your Instagram exposure.

Consistency

Sticking to a consistent routine establishes a frequency for new posts that keeps your brand in front of the people who want to see it. You’ll want to post often enough that your brand stays relevant but avoid posting so frequently that you overwhelm your followers. You don’t need to post like clockwork, but keep your feed active by posting at least once a day.

Offer exclusive content

If you’re launching a new product or service on Instagram, try creating an exclusive offer and offer followers a unique code, this helps to track how effective the promotion was. Exclusive content can also be information that is seen first by your followers, such as a product that is coming soon.

Influencer marketing

Instagram influencer marketing has helped some brands skyrocket their sales overnight. Influencer marketing is the process of marketing brands, products or services through popular individuals who can influence their audience’s purchase decisions. Influencer marketing is most successful when using the best influencers for the brand in question. A crucial factor to consider when searching for Instagram influencers is to look for someone who could be an ambassador for the brand or someone who has an audience that’s relevant to the brand.

Post at peak times

Try posting at different times of the day to find out when your highest engagement occurs. Use the trends you’ve identified to be sure you’re posting at peak times when you’re most likely to reach maximum audience exposure and engagement.

Think ahead

Creating your posts from scratch every day can be very disruptive to your schedule. Planning your social media content in advance will ensure that you always have quality content to share with your audience. You can create your posts and schedule them using tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social and Buffer. However, Instagram is the only social media site that doesn’t completely post it for you. How it works is that you will receive a link at your scheduled post time which will load everything up correctly, all you have to do is press share!
