We have been busy working with Gressingham Duck to prepare for the launch of their new range ‘Bistro by Gressingham’ which is now available in over 200 Waitrose stores, but with many more stores to follow.
We knew that there was still some apprehension about cooking duck from scratch, so the idea behind the new range was to create easy to prepare restaurant style meals that entice duck lovers to cook it more at home. The products are ready made with delicious sauces and flavourings, these include Duck with Honey and Hoisin, Duck with Orange and Maple, Duck Breasts in Plum, Duck A L’Orange, Confit Duck, Duck Breasts in Orange and Duck Legs in Plum. Each product caters for two people and takes just 30-40 minutes cooking time in the oven.
Our work behind the Bistro range involved working with leading design agency Springetts to develop a fresh new look for the packaging with huge appetite appeal that encapsulated the ‘restaurant’ style proposition. Recipe photography was essential for the promotion of the products.
Easy preparation, convenient cooking time and delicious recipes make the new products ideal for an end of the week or weekend treat! Gressingham are also hoping to add to the Bistro range later in the year, including a guinea fowl product, so keep an eye out!
